                     DECEMBER RACE CANCELLED

The December 2008 5K will be cancelled as the Seal Beach Gym will be upgrading showers and adding a Spin room to the facility in December.  If we wanted to conduct the race without help from the Rec Center we may be able to do that if there is any interest.  Seal Beach facility runners would probably not run in December if we had a race as they have no where to shower unless they went to the Huntington Beach gym.  If we don’t have a December race our annual December Hall of Fame Race will be held in January 2009.

Would appreciate your feedback on A or B below:

A-  Skip December and have our Hall of Fame Race in January 2009.

B-  Conduct the race without help from the Rec Center in December.

Also, we always have our annual ‘Run to the Pier for Beer run’ in December. We can still have that event if anyone wants to participate.  Let me or Rick Salas know if you want to have a ‘Run to the Pier for Beer run’ on probably Wednesday, December 10, 2009. You won’t have a Seal Beach gym to use but could still run to the pier if any interest.

And while we are voting, I was considering eliminating the team events.  Anaheim is dwindling in headcount as personnel move to Huntington Beach.  And people move from facility to facility. If I continued team stats it would be primarily Seal Beach (Aerospace) and Huntington Beach. If you want me to continue team stats let me know by e-mail.
