predictors having Texas 5th.   Al beat runner-up Brett Carman by 35 points.  The prior biggest
margin between 1st and 2nd was 2003 when Dick Hammerstrom beat Gerry Hamilton by 21 points.

AL MANZEY LAPS FIELD IN 2010 BASEBALL PLAYOFF PREDICTIONS
Al Manzey clinched the baseball playoff predictions and will probably set a record for the most
points ahead of 2nd.  Al has a 20 point lead over Brett Carman.  Al has SF 1 and Texas 2!!  Dick
Hammerstrom and Gerry Hamilton have SF 3rd, the only other predictors to have SF higher than 4th.
Brett and Andrew Coates had Texas 5th, the highest of any predictors other than Al.  Congrats Al.

AL MANZEY LEADS BRETT CARMAN BY 4 POINTS AFTER ROUND 1 IN 2010
Al Manzey was the only predictor to pick Texas higher than 5th and used their first round
triumph over Tampa Bay to a first round lead.  Al picked Texas 2nd.
First 6 of 7 predictors all have 3 of their top 4 teams left.  Al has all 4 teams remaining.
8 OF 11 PREDICTORS PICK PHILLY IN 2010
Eight of 11 predictors picked Philadelphia to win the World Series in 2010.  Two picked
Tampa Bay and one picked SF.
BOB KOLLER WINS 2009 BASEBALL PREDICTION CONTEST

BOB KOLLER LEADS LORNA MORRIS BY 2 POINTS AFTER 1ST ROUND
Bob Koller leads Baseball Playoff predictions after the first round but no one has top 4 teams correct.

GERRY HAMILTON WINS 2008 BASEBALL PLAYOFF PREDICTIONS
Gerry Hamilton bested runner up Jim Henning by 14 points to win the 30th annual 2008 Baseball Playoff Predictions.
The 14 point margin was the second largest.  Jim 'Ohio' Slagle beat Judy Nash by 20 points in 1997.  This was the
first time Gerry has won this contest but he has been 2nd six times, the most of any predictor.  This was the first time
Jim Henning has finished in the top 2.
The Phillies were a consensus 4th pick by us 12 predictors.  Gerry Hamilton and Nelson Slagle were the only
predictors to predict them as high as 2nd…Brett Carman was best in the tie breaker as he predicted 40 runs to be
scored in the World Series - 39 were scored.  Jim Henning finished 2nd despite being one of two predictors to
score 0 points on his #1 team (Cubs).
