       WISCONSIN PREDICTORS STOMP CALIFORNIA AND OTHER PREDICTORS IN  2006
     Wisconsin's four predictors averaged 4th place in the 2006 football predictions, the best average place in
the history of football predictions.  California predictors (13) averaged 13.1 place.  Other states (4) averaged
11.8 place.  It is also the first time in history that we only had 2 Ohio predictors.  This is the third straight title
for the Badger predictors.  California were the best predictors in 2002 and Ohio was best in 2001.

     Jim Henning beat runner-up Bob Stanley by 64 points in the first 9 weeks of the season and
Barbara Worden was the best in the last 8 weeks, besting runner-up Nelson Slagle by 11 points.
Jim Henning, Dick Hammerstrom, Nelson Slagle, Mark Johnson and Jim Slagle were in the top
7 predictors in both halves.  Those five plus Deb Cummings and Gary Schwind were the only
predictors to finish in the top ten in both halves of the season.
