OHIO STATE BASKETBALL BY SEASON


2009-10
OSU finished the regular season at 24-7 and in a three way tie for first in the Big Ten at 14-4.  They were #6 in final AP poll, won the Big Ten tournament and were seeded 2nd the the NCAA tourney.  They made the sweet 16 before losing to Tennessee 76-73.  Evan Turner was Player of the Year.
2010-11
OSU finished regular season 32-2 and won Big Ten with 16-2 record and won Big Ten tournament for 2nd straight year by beating Penn State in finals 71-60.   Finshed regular season as #1 team in polls and were top seed in NCA tournament.  Lost to Kentucky 62-60 in sweet 16 and in poll after NCAA Tournament were ranked 5th.  Overall record was 34-3.  Freshman, Jared Sullinger was concensus All American averaging 17.2 points and 10.2 rebounds a game and was considered to be best big man in college basketball.
2011-12
OSU finished regular season 27-6 and tied for Big Ten title with Michigan and Michigan State with a 13-5 record.   They reached the finals for the 5th time in 6 years,  but lost in the finals of the Big Ten Tournament to Michigan State 68-64.  They started the season as #3 in the AP poll and ranged from 2nd to 10th during the season finishing at 7th going into the NCAA Tournament.  Although they were a 2nd seed in the NCAA tourney the Vegas Odds had them as 2nd favorite for the Tourney title next to Kentucky at 5-1 odds.  OSU defeated Loyola, Md 78-59, Gonzaga 73-66    Jared Sullinger was an All American and Aaron Craft was Big Ten defensive player of the year.  Buford and Thomas were 2nd team All Big Ten.  .
