My nieces husband, Chad Stoub donated these
trash bins to me for use as containers. Chad is owner
of a trash company in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area
called Ever Kept. The mini trash bins are great for keeping
my scoreboard numbers and golf balls. Thanks Chad
Stoub and thanks Dick Hammerstrom for the blue
Technical Support Certificate - Mark and his

2-17-23 Results of installing permanent
scoreboard at Slag's
Country Club. The trophy on the left is a permanent trophy
on which monthly putting tournament winners are added.
2-17-23 Close up of Scoreboard with match
results using new tiles purchased from Sign-A-Rama in
Fountain Valley. I added magnetic strips on the
back of each tile. The scoreboard shows scores
for each hole for course designated in C column.
The 'T' column is the nine hole total.
The right column is the 27 hole total. The blank
space to the right of the actual scoreboard can be
used for anything. The tiles are stored on the
9 inch red shelf under the name column plus some
extras 1's and 3's on shelf at the bottom of right
edge of scoreboard. The miscellaneous digits on
the right are for quick use if needed. The right
most portion is explained in picture # 38.
The gray part is sheet metal which is magnetic. I just had to paint the three

I put a plastic sheet over the paper with magnets on top to hold in
place. The top document is a thank you letter from Tom and
Dawn Bemiller, owner of Pro Turf Sales, Inc., installers of the
putting green. The lower document is a list of people
that helped make the putting green World Class.

cloth cut-out to the left is pulled over the flags to protect from
dew and rain. Roof overhang also protects from rain. When flags
are in use the rack can be used for extra putters.
2-17-23 Using Plexiglas, ball barrings and a
slope I am
able to keep the tiles standing up after pulling a tile out to
post a hole score.
4-7-23 I took four old white chairs that needed
painted scarlet and gray using spray paint. Used two inch adhesive
letters to make words on chairs.
Every Country Club needs some street
signs. You enter the course on Buckeye Lane and
the course is on OSU Drive. Also shown is one of
four flood lights
to enable putting 24/7.
4-22-23 The first out of state visitor, Dick
took the Amtrak from Chicago and three days later reached
the Slag Country Club for epic putting and chipping challenges.
Below notice was posted on the scoreboard.
8-21-13 List of Slag Country Club (SCC) officers
executives usually hanging in the Crepe Myrtle tree. We don't
have to many extended arguments on the rules!!
8-21-13 Display on patio when Buckeye fans are
visiting the Slag Country Club to putt. Cooler under
the table in front is not needed now that I have a
vending machine that serves as a refrigerator. Vending
machine was found on Craig's list for $100.
8-21-13 OSU display on table on patio.
Includes a replica
of the OSU stadium, 4 piece set of Woody Hayes, 3 Jack
Nicklaus woods, white three ring binder of mostly 185 cards of
former Buckeye athletes collected over the past 40 years and a blue binder of stats and information on the Lucas years of basketball at Ohio State (1961-3) and plenty of stats on Lucas and the team.
8-21-13 Small display table on patio. Five
are two on the history of OSU football, two on Woody
Hayes and a Jerry Lucas memory book.
8-23-13 Chase and Dawn Bemiller at home show in
displaying their putting greens. Dawn and her husband's company
put in the SCC putting green. Chase, their son, won our first
putting tournament in September 2012. Chase is holding a large
OSU can that Dawn received in July as a gift filled with goodies.
Dawn immediately thought of Slag and brought the can to the home
show anticipating that I would be there. She is holding a note book
with putting greens they have installed. Two pictures in note
book on the left is our putting green.
11-29-13 Flag Rack and OSU golf bag with
a Brutus head cover. The golf bag was found on Craig's
list for $50.
11-29-13 Crepe Myrtle tree sheds too many
the fall colors are nice. It rained the night before and the
only puddle was in the low spot where the sprinkle pipe
was fixed in October. The putting green was rolled to the
right and the sprinkler pipe re-attached. Plant on the left
side is a Hibiscus.
11-29-13 We had our first 'crop' of lizard this
thought by getting a large lizard we may be able to get rid
of the smaller ones! Ruby Slipper plant in the middle. To the
right is a golfer statue with a Buckeye necklace.
12-21-13 Emily Slagle putting. At 97 years
months of age, she is the oldest putter to complete 27
holes on the Slag Country Club Putting Green. The prior
oldest putter was 82.
